PALS Project @ The Pride Center
The PALS Project (Positive Action for Living Safely) is a part of The Pride Center Florida at Equality Park in Wilton Manors. We provide Health and Wellness programs for individuals living with HIV. And HIV prevention programs for all individuals to lower their risk. All our programs, services and events are free.
(Learn Immune Function Enhancement)
Want to “jump start” healthier living? The PALS Project’s 18-week L.I.F.E. program offers gay or bisexual men with HIV effective ways to lead healthier and richer lives. In a fun, supportive setting, you get the latest reliable information about HIV and health during large group meetings, exchange personal experiences in small group gatherings, receive personal coaching in one-on-one sessions to boost emotional well-being, build strong relationships, and boister healthy habits. People who’ve participated in the L.I.F.E. program have even seen their immune system strengthen and viral load decrease.
(Choosing Healthy Options & Improving Communication Effectiveness)
Living with HIV can make dating, sex, and relationships stressful. Learn to cope with these challenges in our free 5-week CHOICES course. Meeting in small groups, we’ll discuss building healthy relationships, how to negotiate safer sex, make better decisions, and ways to tell family, friends, and sex partners that you’re thriving with HIV. It’s also a great way to meet new HIV+ friends!
(Anti-Retroviral Treatment and Access to Services)
