Course Description/Objective : Students will learn the unique techniques and skills to use with watercolor paints. They will have the opportunity to master basic, intermediate, and advanced level skills, and will be required to complete several original pieces. Students will be encouraged to work together and will also be able to expand their learned skills through several projects. Ten weeks of which one week will be a visit to the Ft Lauderdale Museam of Art, the second will be a plein aire painting experience and the third and final week will be a critique of each student’s body of class work.

Week Three: Strategies of painting

Week Four: Plein Air painting site to be decided

Week Five: Other strategies

Week Six: Elements of Painting

Week Seven: Elements of Color

Week Eight: Field trip to Ft Lauderdale Museum of Art

Week Nine: Discussion of field trip/Continue painting

Week Ten: Discussion of how this course has changed your perception of art/Class critique of course paintings
