Marc Puccinelli, PhD
Clinical Psychologist & Clinical Assistant Professor @ University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
Dr. Puccinelli’s clinical and research interests focus on addressing mental and physical health disparities by improving the efficacy and effectiveness of manualized interventions. He is also interested in understanding cultural factors and comorbidities that may impact treatment response among underserved and minority populations.
Claudia A. Martinez, MD
Interventional Cardiologist & Professor of Medicine @ University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
Dr. Martinez’s career has focused on understanding the cardiovascular needs of women, and individuals living with other chronic conditions like HIV. Her research interests include understanding the impact of hormones, cannabis use, and mental health on cardiovascular disease. Recently, Dr. Martinez was awarded a federally funded grant to investigate the role of cannabis use on subclinical cardiac function.
Daniel E. Jimenez, PhD
Clinical Psychologist & Associate Professor @ University of Miami Miller School of Medicine
Dr. Jimenez has dedicated his career to identifying health disparities affecting the nation’s racial/ethnic minority older adults and developing innovative strategies to reduce, and ultimately eliminate these disparities. He has received multiple federal grants to design and implement culturally appropriate and novel approaches to preventing mental illness in racial/ethnic minority older adults.
